Romaisa Khan Defends Hamna in Dar-e-Nijaat, Says Fans Will Regret Criticising Her Character

Pakistani actress Romaisa Khan has come forward in support of her character Hamna from ARY Digital’s popular drama Dar-e-Nijaat. While viewers have criticised Hamna’s actions and her continued connection with Abu Bakar, Romaisa believes audiences are judging her character without fully understanding her circumstances.

During her recent appearance on FUCHSIA Magazine’s YouTube show, hosted by Rabia Mughni, the actress discussed Hamna’s complicated emotions, her marriage to Zamil, and the criticism she has received from drama fans.

Her comments have added another interesting perspective to the ongoing discussions surrounding Dar-e-Nijaat.

Romaisa Khan Explains Why Hamna Messages Abu Bakar

Romaisa strongly defended Hamna’s decision to contact Abu Bakar, explaining that he was one of the few people who had supported her during difficult circumstances.

She pointed out that Hamna does not receive much attention or emotional support from her husband, Zamil. Therefore, she believes viewers should understand why Hamna reaches out to Abu Bakar, who previously helped and treated her kindly.

Romaisa also questioned why audiences were criticising Hamna for messaging him when he had played an important role in her life.

The actress revealed that she genuinely loves playing Hamna and has even defended the character during arguments with people who disapprove of her actions.

Is Hamna Still in Love With Abu Bakar?

When Rabia Mughni asked about Hamna’s feelings for Abu Bakar, Romaisa suggested that her emotions could be love or infatuation.

According to the actress, Hamna started thinking about Abu Bakar even more after experiencing difficulties in her marriage with Zamil.

She also explained that Hamna’s marriage was not necessarily about forgetting Abu Bakar. Instead, the character wanted stability and security in her life.

Romaisa further shared that Hamna comes from a tribal family in interior Sindh and has struggled to find emotional support within her family.

She believes these circumstances help explain why Hamna searches for protection and understanding outside her traditional family environment.

Romaisa Khan Says Fans May Regret Criticising Hamna

The actress believes viewers should wait for the upcoming developments in Dar-e-Nijaat before forming final opinions about Hamna.

She hinted that the character’s journey contains several layers that audiences have not fully understood yet.

Romaisa also highlighted what she considers a double standard in how audiences judge romantic behaviour. Actions that might appear romantic when performed by a man can attract criticism when a woman expresses similar emotions.

She additionally described Abu Bakar as a people pleaser, suggesting that kindness should not mean allowing others to take advantage of someone.
