Shiv Inder Singh’s Memorable Pakistan Visit

Journalist Shiv Inder Singh shared his own emotional experience from his 2024 visit to Pakistan. He revealed that he received so many gifts from Pakistani friends that he had to buy an extra suitcase just to carry them back. Surprisingly, the shopkeeper refused to charge him for the suitcase, even though it was quite expensive.

He further recalled visiting a local market where he bought clothes for his wife. The shopkeeper refused to take payment after learning that Shiv was from Ludhiana, India. Instead, he treated him to a milkshake and spent nearly one and a half hours sharing emotional stories of his grandmother from the time of Partition, making Shiv feel like a family member rather than a guest.

Shared Culture, Shared Love

Shiv Inder Singh also pointed out the mutual admiration between both nations. He mentioned that Pakistanis openly love Indian actors, Bollywood films, and Punjabi cinema, which regularly runs in Pakistani theaters. According to him, despite political tensions, the cultural and emotional bond between people remains strong.
